| D. R. Congo is fertile country, wherever you are and what ever you plant. The agricultural project will be set up to increase the self reliance of the beneficiaries who are thus able to complement and diversify their diet according to their taste and for income generator. The agricultural project will identify interested persons mainly from North-Eastern province & Bas-Congo, helps them negotiate their access to land, develops swamp rice fields, potatoes, manioc, beans puts agricultural inputs (seeds, tools, …) at their disposal, provides counseling and advice to its beneficiaries. We recognise that the harvest of upland and swamp rice paddies, kitchen gardens, and other cultures have had a positive impact the nutritional levels of our co-patriots who are welcoming the project for the increased self-reliance it will enable them to acquire. It is therefore the intention of SDMF’s programme to extend its assistance and implement in 2007-8. In the rural areas, we encountered accessibility problem’s by lack of good and accessible road, so we have to sensibilise the Congolese ‘s government to repair roads and bridges |
