Education

For 2007-8, the adult literacy & IT project will attempt to extend its reach and coverage in the new centre around oriental province of D R Congo “Bunia, Goma & Ituri” where the conflict has destroyed the socio-economic of the countryside.

The adult literacy & IT project will enables people from age 16 and up who have never had a chance to attend school in their life to learn basic literary, mathematical skills and IT skills, allowing them to acquire these basic tools in life and to attend continuing education classes should they wish to do so.

Training & Employment
We help disabled adults to gain access to skills training, to help them find employment.

Education can come in many forms, whether it’s formal instruction to children at school or informal education to communities about important issues. Together with our partners, APHID is working on both. It works to ensure that schools and children receive necessary equipment and supplies; while providing training and new education ideas to instructors. For adults, it ensures that communities are continually educated on political, social and health issues. Educational methods can include anything from traditional classroom experience to theatre and workshops to radio programs.
