We work in partnership with disabled people and international organizations to enable us to provide services and improve employment opportunities and choices for disabled people. Handicap International Team has really contributed for the slight improvement of living conditions for disabled persons in Kinshasa/Mbuji-Mayi. Centre for the rehabilitation of handicapped people (CRHP) Kinshasa is partnering with us to localize small disabled NGOs to engage with SDMF to promote disability equality. The project is currently expanding this work by finding partner NGOs in the rural areas who would like to improve the inclusion of disabled persons in their poverty reduction schemes.

Since  2003, AFRICA PHYSICAL HANDICAPPED INITIATIVES DEVELOPMENT (APHID) -“Showdoman Foundation, it has been operative in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinhasa) and it has recently established two sub-region offices in Ituri & Bunia region (North-East of D R Congo) since November 2005. It has an official branch in London/England and linking its activities with Hewabora Community Development since its establishment in 2003. It is worthwhile mentioning that AFRICA PHYSICAL HANDICAPPED INITIATIVES DEVELOPMENT (APHID) -“Showdoman Foundation ’s activities are carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Service. Despite AFRICA PHYSICAL HANDICAPPED INITIATIVES DEVELOPMENT (TAPHID) -“Showdoman Foundation ’s presence in the other part of country North-East sub-office province, the main programme in Kinshasa is currently managed through AFRICA PHYSICAL HANDICAPPED INITIATIVES DEVELOPMENT (APHID) -“Showdoman Foundation representation based in the capital, appointed by our head office in Toronto.
